About the Opportunity
The hiring organization is seeking a Senior Event Marketing Specialist to lead strategic demand generation events across the Americas, including Tier 1 conference sponsorships, trade shows, and flagship events. Reporting to the Director of Global Event Marketing, this role is responsible for driving brand recognition and building a high-quality sales pipeline through in-person and digital events.
This is a full-time, exempt position operating remotely within the United States, with an opportunity for a hybrid work schedule for candidates based near the organization's office in Chicago. Domestic travel is required up to 20% of the time to support on-site event execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end planning and execution of demand generation events across the Americas, including Tier 1 conferences and trade shows such as RSAC, Black Hat, and Identiverse.
- Develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans for corporate, public sector, and demand generation events in alignment with strategic organizational goals.
- Coordinate closely with marketing colleagues, sales leaders, and cross-functional teams to plan, execute, and analyze demand generation initiatives.
- Oversee inventory management systems for event assets and promotional materials.
- Collaborate with design teams and event stakeholders to create compelling materials aligned with branding and strategic objectives.
- Support event logistics management, including vendor negotiations, budget tracking, booth design, and on-site coordination from conception through completion.
- Partner with sales and marketing operations to track event-sourced pipeline and evaluate return on investment against demand generation targets.
- Provide end-to-end event marketing support across commercial and public sector sales teams, tailoring approaches to the needs of each segment.
- Maintain internal event calendars, master schedules, and related project documentation.
- Maintain flexibility to support broader team projects as needed to ensure smooth operational execution.
- Monitor industry trends to identify continuous improvement opportunities for the event marketing program.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in event marketing.
- Demonstrated experience leading large-scale conferences and trade shows (such as Black Hat, RSA, or Identiverse) as well as smaller-scale events.
- Proven ability to direct complex, multi-stakeholder, and cross-functional initiatives.
- Strong business acumen, analytical capabilities, and attention to detail.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office tools.
- Willingness and ability to travel domestically up to 20% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working within a SaaS company.
- Experience working within the cybersecurity industry.
- Experience using CRM and marketing automation platforms such as Salesforce or HubSpot for event lead tracking and follow-up.
- Experience utilizing project management platforms such as Monday.com.
