About The Role
As an Event Marketing Manager, this role will be responsible for crafting, executing, and measuring in-person events to build and advance the sales pipeline across the United States. As the trusted advisor to marketing and sales leadership, this role will have an in-depth understanding of the nuances across regions and the prospect and customer’s challenges.
This role will collaborate and connect with cross-functional marketing teams to ensure active sharing of feedback from the field to influence upcoming campaigns while properly measuring success.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, build, and execute event concepts and experiences targeting prospects and customers through industry conferences and hosted events series.
- Implement event programs while using creativity and expertise to develop outstanding scalable, in person experiences to drive new business and upsells.
- Forecast, measure, analyze and report on the impact of demand creation activities on sales pipeline, revenue, and conversion against agreed pipeline goals.
- Own pipeline targets, marketing lead funnel after events, and conversion metrics for go-to-market, as well as team efforts to improve and optimize event programs for maximum ROI.
- Communicate regularly with stakeholders on program results and findings for events; aggregate results weekly, monthly and quarterly for marketing and sales leadership.
- Work on multiple, simultaneous events that require both strategic thinking and creativity as well as high-speed tactical execution.
- Develop templated scalable event programs that will grow with the company.
Required Qualifications
- 5-7+ years of proven experience in a B2B event marketing role.
- Creative and innovative thinking with a willingness to take risk, iterate and learn.
- Owns event execution and leads others (direct and indirect) to meet deadlines while maintaining quality of the work; proactively identifies and leads work streams to achieve goals.
- Proven ability to drive cross-functional collaboration across diverse sets of stakeholders.
- Exceptional project and time management skills - highly organized, detailed focused, results-driven, and accountable with experience partnering with revenue and marketing operations teams.
- Experience with planning and carrying out multiple, sophisticated marketing events and working towards strategic goals.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to deal professionally with senior executives, sales team members, vendors and team members at all skill levels inside and outside the organization.
- Self-starter, highly motivated, and think through problems to come up with innovative solutions; excellent problem-solving skills, strategic and analytical capabilities.
- Proactively engage in forward-thinking and innovative initiatives for the business and be proactive versus reactive.
- Experience successfully managing third-party vendors, contractors and budgets (along with monthly reconciliation).
- Working knowledge of Salesforce CRM, Hubspot, Eventbrite, and other sales and marketing systems.
