We're seeking a skilled Data Scientist with a strong background in digital commerce and retail media analytics to unlock insights and guide strategy through advanced data analysis. This role is ideal for someone passionate about leveraging first-party data, advanced analytics, and machine learning to drive digital marketing performance and customer acquisition strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Data Analysis & Modeling
- Analyze performance data across digital commerce and retail media platforms to uncover drivers of conversion.
- Build predictive models using first-party data (CLV, RFM, etc.) to optimize ad bidding and ROI.
- Apply machine learning and statistical techniques to identify trends and correlations in large datasets.
- Develop ETL processes using complex SQL logic.
Strategic Insights & Reporting
- Deliver data-driven recommendations to enhance search spend efficiency and conversion rates.
- Translate technical findings into business-friendly insights through visualizations and dashboards.
- Support strategic planning by framing and presenting analytics to senior leaders.
Project Management & Collaboration
- Lead analytics projects from scoping through execution and delivery.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and external vendors to ensure timely and high-quality results.
Take initiative on continuous improvement efforts and new opportunities.
Data Stewardship
- Serve as a subject matter expert for zero/first-party data sources.
- Ensure data quality through validation, governance, and issue resolution in partnership with data stewards.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in data science/analytics, ideally within digital commerce or retail media.
- Proficiency in Python or R and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Strong experience with SQL and working with large datasets.
- Familiarity with marketing KPIs: CAC, CTR, ROAS, SEO, CLV, Attribution Modeling, etc.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey technical insights to non-technical audiences.
Preferred:
- Experience with CPG analytics.
- Hands-on expertise with platforms like Amazon Marketing Cloud, Amazon DSP, Walmart Scintilla, Kroger Collaborative Cloud, Google Ads, or Facebook Ads.
- Exposure to clean room technologies and search bidding optimization strategies.
- Cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure) and handling large-scale data systems.
