POSITION OVERVIEW We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Social Media Manager to support social media efforts as part of our in-house team. The Senior Social Media Manager will be responsible for developing and executing community management and social media strategies that enhance our brand presence across multiple social platforms.
- Contract length: 6–12 months
- Schedule: 40 hours weekly, ET time zone
- Start time: 8:00 a.m. ET (may work 9–5 occasionally)
- Location preference: No PST
- Overtime: As needed, possibly up to two hours (not weekly)
- Weekends: Rare, but possible if necessary
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Partner with in-house teams to conceptualize, create, and deploy shareable, social-first content and campaigns for various social media channels.
- Create, curate, and publish posts ensuring content is fit-for-platform, technically sound, and reflective of best practices.
- Develop and maintain a consistent posting schedule and content creation calendar that aligns with the brand’s social strategy.
- Support development and execution of strategic social content strategies based on relevant brand, audience, and channel insights.
- Support broader team on crisis and reputation management on social platforms.
- Collaborate with internal teams including marketing, customer service, and business lines to integrate social media initiatives into broader organic and paid campaigns.
- Stay updated on industry and platform trends, innovations, best practices, and emerging platforms to continually enhance brand growth and engagement strategies.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 7+ years of experience in developing and leading social media strategies and community management, preferably at large organizations or agencies.
- Expertise in hands-on management of social media accounts, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, YouTube, and TikTok.
- Proficient in using social media management tools like Sprout Social along with native platform features to publish posts, monitor analytics, and track trends.
- Adept at interpreting social media metrics and analytics to optimize social content and engagement strategies.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft clear, concise, and compelling messages for target audiences.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- A self-starter with keen attention to detail.
EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
