Job Overview:
As an Interface Developer, you will play a crucial role in implementing engaging and functional frontend solutions for our e-commerce projects. You will be responsible for developing themes, user interfaces, and custom functionalities for BigCommerce, Shopify, and Adobe Commerce stores, while also contributing to React-based projects. This role requires a strong understanding of frontend development principles, responsive design, and a passion for creating seamless user experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement custom themes, templates, and components for BigCommerce, Shopify, and other platforms.
- Collaborate with design and development teams to translate wireframes and mockups into interactive and responsive web interfaces.
- Customize and extend the functionality of e-commerce platforms through HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and relevant APIs.
- Optimize website performance and ensure cross-browser compatibility and responsiveness.
- Troubleshoot and debug frontend issues to ensure smooth user experiences across different devices and browsers.
- Stay updated on the latest trends and best practices in frontend development, e-commerce, and user experience design.
- Contribute to React-based projects by building reusable components, implementing state management solutions, and integrating with backend APIs.
- Work closely with project managers and stakeholders to understand requirements, estimate timelines, and deliver high-quality solutions within deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Frontend developer.
- Experience with modern Javascript, such as Node.js and React. Ideally NextJS.
- Experience with BigCommerce, Shopify, or similar SaaS ecommerce platform.
- An understanding of how to build apps that function in their own context (microservices).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients and internal teams.
- Understanding of UI/UX.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a team environment with a project manager and others.
- Ability to understand and solve complex bugs and development tasks.
- Experience with BigCommerce or a willingness to learn the platform.
Preferred
- BigCommerce certification is a plus.
- Experience with other e-commerce platforms is beneficial.
- Familiarity with modern development tools and methodologies.
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Base Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week
