Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Content Developer for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Argentina. It is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Content Developer to work in a fast-paced and growing CRM team, creating, updating, and maintaining highly personalized emails for travelers, vacation rental owners, and attraction suppliers. We seek someone passionate about email development and experience creating templates serving multiple brands, languages, and points of sale. The role of Content Developer will have you working alongside project managers, software engineers, localization specialists, and the creative team to bring email designs to life. The CRM team creates and manages email campaigns that service 38 points of sale with 17 languages across 11 brands. Maintaining consistent functionality across all touches requires an eye for detail and a drive to work efficiently. As a Content Developer, you will coordinate with localization specialists to ensure that the emails are fully localized and optimized to meet the needs of the multilingual user base. Through it all, you’ll be expected to be able to give continuous constructive feedback to the rest of the team, including other content developers, designers, copywriters, and project managers, to improve development and increase efficiency.
Requirements
- At least 2-4 years of experience in front-end development.
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience with responsive design.
- Experience with modular design.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- A university degree (or equivalent) is required (in Computer Science preferred).
Nice To Have
- At least 1 year of experience coding emails.
- Some experience in localization.
- Familiarity with including personalized/dynamic content in emails.
- Knowledge of the unique styling and display quirks in major email platforms.
- Experience working with ESPs such as ExactTarget, Mailchimp, and Marketo (preferably for an online travel business or retailer).
- Familiarity and knowledge of email marketing, including deliverability and rendering best practices.
Responsibilities
- Work with the Design and Copy Team to confirm assets needed to create and deploy emails.
- Cooperate with localization specialists in translating and testing content to display correctly for the 17 languages the client supports.
- Set up, QA, and schedule one-off email sends.
- Code templates to display consistently across all major email platforms like Gmail and Outlook.
- Provide QAing template functionality with project managers and engineers.
- Manage lead times with the project managers and CRM engineering teams to ensure timely receipt of all design and data points.
- Maintain email templates for B2B and B2C communications.
- Develop new templates and test email functionality to ensure an optimal user experience across the client service’s 11 brands and 40 points of sale.
- Coordinate with project managers and stakeholders to set and confirm the scope of projects.
- Develop new modules to serve the needs of new email template designs.
- Learn new technologies required to complete projects that support business initiatives.
- Help maintain aspects of the codebase in a way that scales to the team’s needs.
- Coordinate with other teams to help iron out development hurdles and propose solutions.
- Suggest and drive projects to help improve the team’s ability to execute business initiatives.
