Job Description
We are looking for a highly skilled AWS Architect with hands-on experience in Terraform-based infrastructure automation, DevOps practices, and AWS Landing Zone design. The ideal candidate will have a strong command over observability, monitoring, and AWS-native security services and be proficient in core AWS services including Lambda, S3, and SQS. This role will play a key part in designing scalable, secure, and resilient cloud-native solutions for enterprise workloads.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement secure and scalable AWS architectures including Landing Zone configurations.
- Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, ensuring repeatability and compliance.
- Lead cloud adoption strategy with focus on DevOps automation, CI/CD pipeline integration, and environment consistency.
- Implement observability and monitoring frameworks using services like CloudWatch, X-Ray, AWS Config, and third-party tools.
- Ensure robust security and governance, leveraging services such as IAM, KMS, GuardDuty, Security Hub, and AWS WAF.
- Architect serverless solutions using AWS Lambda, with integrations across S3, SQS, API Gateway, and other AWS services.
- Work with application and operations teams to implement highly available and fault-tolerant systems.
- Participate in architecture reviews, cost optimization initiatives, and Well-Architected Framework assessments.
Qualifications
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 8+ years of IT experience, with at least 5 years in AWS cloud architecture.
- Proficient in Terraform, with a strong understanding of modular IaC and reusable design patterns.
- Strong background in DevOps tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, CodePipeline, CodeBuild).
- Proven experience in setting up and managing AWS Landing Zones (Control Tower or custom).
- Deep knowledge of AWS services:
- Compute: Lambda, EC2
- Storage: S3
- Messaging: SQS
- Networking: VPC, Route 53, Load Balancers
- Security: IAM, KMS, GuardDuty, Security Hub
- Observability: CloudWatch, X-Ray, AWS Config
- Familiarity with compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA, SOC2, ISO 27001) and cloud security best practices.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional (preferred).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in multi-account AWS environments and service control policies (SCPs).
- Exposure to containerized workloads (ECS/EKS) and microservices architecture.
- Familiarity with FinOps, cost tracking, and tagging strategies.
