As a Senior Data Scientist, you’ll play a key role in bringing AI into the real world. You will work closely with customers and internal teams to build, deploy, and optimize machine learning models that support business decisions, improve performance, and unlock new opportunities for growth.

The Impact You’ll Have:

Lead the design, development, and deployment of production-grade machine learning models.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including data engineering, product, and business—to solve complex business problems with data.
Build scalable analytics pipelines to power predictive modeling and decision intelligence.
Translate business goals into data science projects and communicate findings in a clear, actionable way to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Automate workflows and streamline model training, evaluation, and deployment using MLOps tools and CI/CD practices.
Contribute to SunnyData’s methodology and internal best practices across data science and ML.
Mentor and guide junior data scientists on modeling approaches and deployment strategies.

What We Look For:

5+ years of experience in Data Science and/or Machine Learning roles.
Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL; hands-on with tools such as pandas, scikit-learn, XGBoost, PyTorch, or TensorFlow.
Strong statistical foundations and practical experience with A/B testing, regression, classification, clustering, and recommendation algorithms.
Experience deploying models in real-world environments, preferably in production or near real-time use cases.
Familiarity with MLOps tools (MLflow, SageMaker, Vertex AI, Airflow, etc.) and best practices.
Ability to distill complex findings into clear, concise insights and communicate them effectively to business and technical stakeholders.

Nice to Have:

Experience with Spark and large-scale data processing.
Exposure to GenAI, embeddings, NLP, or LLM-based solutions.
Familiarity with Databricks and the Lakehouse architecture.
Containerization and cloud-native workflows (Docker, ECS, EKS, serverless).

Education:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
