About The Role

Blacksmith is seeking a talented and motivated UI/UX Web Designer to join our dynamic team. This role is perfect for individuals passionate about creating innovative, state-of-the-art website designs with engaging interactions tailored for clients across various industries. The designer will take ownership of the entire design process, from initial concept creation, wireframing, and storyboarding to final layout development for both mobile and desktop platforms. Working closely with developers, the successful candidate will translate client requests into masterful, interactive digital experiences that align with strategic objectives. The role demands a keen eye for detail, a strong sense of aesthetics, and the ability to communicate design ideas effectively to internal teams and clients. Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional website design experience
• Proficiency in Figma
• Experience with Photoshop, Adobe XD, and Sketch is a plus
• A compelling portfolio showcasing elegant and innovative web design projects
• Motion design experience is advantageous
• Prototyping skills for creating interactive mockups
• Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

Responsibilities

• Lead the full design lifecycle including conceptualization, wireframing, storyboarding, and final layout design for both mobile and desktop platforms
• Apply current design trends and modern branding styles to craft compelling brand narratives and visually engaging digital products
• Ensure pixel-perfect execution by obsessively attending to detail in all design deliverables
• Identify user needs through research and insights, translating these into innovative website features and workflows
• Communicate the purpose, process, and rationale behind design choices clearly to internal teams and clients
• Create cutting-edge designs for clients across various industries and company sizes, from SMBs to enterprise organizations
• Advocate for user-centered design principles and demonstrate their value to stakeholders and team members
• Collaborate with strategy and business development teams to support new business opportunities and contribute to creative pitches
• Handle high-end projects confidently, utilizing visual skills and professional communication to motivate team collaboration and incorporate feedback effectively
• Iterate designs based on constructive critique to ensure delivery of polished, high-quality digital products
• Maintain organized files, layers, and folders for efficient workflow management
• Work closely with the President and departmental leaders throughout each project's lifecycle to meet objectives and deadlines
