About The Role

The Market Data Analyst at S4 Market Data plays a pivotal role in overseeing client projects and ensuring the seamless delivery of our managed services. This position involves managing market data service inquiries, coordinating administrative tasks, and supervising a market data administrator to guarantee accuracy and timeliness. The ideal candidate will possess substantial experience in market data vendor management, contract administration, and procurement processes. This role requires engaging with internal stakeholders across legal, finance, IT, and business units to facilitate the sourcing and negotiation of market data contracts. Located in the US, the role offers the flexibility of remote work, allowing for a balanced and productive work environment. The successful candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities effectively.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems (MIS), Business, or a related field
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in financial services or market data management
• Experience working with Market Data vendors such as Bloomberg, FactSet, NYSE, ICE, and others
• Knowledge of inventory systems like FITS and MDSL (preferred)
• Strong communication and project management skills
• Experience collaborating with internal business units and senior stakeholders
• Entrepreneurial mindset with high self-motivation and independence
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple complex requests
• Ability to work effectively in a remote environment within the US

Responsibilities

• Manage daily demand and vendor inquiries from internal business units, including data sourcing, contract negotiations, entitlement administration, and exchange reporting
• Coordinate with legal, finance, IT, and investment teams to facilitate procurement and ensure compliance
• Oversee inventory management for market data access, ensuring accuracy for joiners and leavers, and reconcile invoices and expenses monthly
• Conduct regular exchange reporting and monitor adherence to exchange policies and data compliance across client applications
• Administer data feeds such as EMRS and DACS, ensuring seamless data flow and accuracy
• Review and analyze spend data, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement cost avoidance initiatives
• Provide detailed reports to business units regarding their market data costs and usage
• Lead internal meetings to track service level agreements (SLAs) and ensure all client deliverables are met and exceeded
