About The Role

We are establishing a new, US-based, fully remote game studio focused on developing innovative slot games. We are seeking an experienced Game Designer to lead the creative vision and development of our new titles. In this role, you will work closely with a small, multidisciplinary team to conceptualize, design, and refine new games from inception to completion. Your primary focus will be on crafting compelling themes, engaging mechanics, and delivering exceptional player experiences. You will play a pivotal role in defining the overall game vision, collaborating with artists, mathematicians, sound designers, and developers to bring your ideas to life. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in slot game design, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for creating intuitive and fun gaming experiences that resonate with players and meet industry standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience designing real-money slot games for iGaming or land-based markets
• Degree in Mathematics, Game Design, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
• Proven ability to define and deliver engaging game mechanics, themes, and play styles
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of articulating complex concepts clearly to global stakeholders
• Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, emerging game mechanics, and player preferences
• Familiarity with wireframing and prototyping tools such as Figma or Balsamiq
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Creative mindset with a focus on detail, refinement, and user experience
• Ability to accept, provide, and act on constructive feedback effectively

Responsibilities

• Define and articulate the overall vision for each game, including mechanics, themes, and gameplay style
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including mathematicians, artists, animators, and sound designers—to develop and implement game concepts
• Playtest and iterate on game math, mechanics, flow, and visual presentation to optimize player engagement and experience
• Develop and maintain comprehensive design documentation to ensure clarity and consistency throughout the development process
• Provide constructive gameplay feedback and collaborate with fellow designers to enhance game quality
• Conduct regular competitive analysis by playing industry-leading games to stay informed of trends and innovative mechanics
• Contribute to a creative environment by generating fresh ideas and refining existing concepts based on player feedback and industry insights
