About The Role
As a Staff Analyst on Product Analytics at Hims & Hers, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the customer experience through strategic experimental design and hypothesis testing. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, growth leads, designers, and engineers to deliver data-driven insights that influence product development and enhancement. Your expertise in A/B testing, digital analytics, and statistical modeling will enable us to build best-in-class customer experiences and optimize product performance. Reporting directly to the Sr Director of Product Analytics, you will lead experimentation strategies, design intuitive dashboards, and foster a data-driven culture within the organization. Your work will directly impact product roadmaps, feature success metrics, and overall business growth.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in analytics, data science, or a related quantitative field
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline
- 5+ years of experience designing, executing, and analyzing A/B tests in a product environment
- Experience working with subscription-based business models and metrics
- Extensive experience collaborating with data engineering teams and managing production data pipelines
- Strong knowledge of data modeling, experimental design, and statistical inference
- Expertise in SQL with advanced skills
- Proficiency in data visualization and BI tools such as Looker or Tableau
- Programming experience in Python, SAS, or R
- Experience developing and training predictive models
- Ability to communicate complex technical analyses to non-technical stakeholders
- Proven ability to influence product strategy through data insights
- Strong organizational skills and proactive problem-solving mindset
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and insights to product teams, influencing roadmap decisions with data-driven recommendations
- Own and manage the experimentation strategy, including test design, success metrics, sample size estimation, and results interpretation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define tracking requirements and ensure data integrity and quality
- Lead analytics instrumentation efforts to ensure accurate and comprehensive data collection
- Design and develop intuitive dashboards in Looker to democratize data access and promote data self-service capabilities
- Create and maintain KPI frameworks and measurement plans for new features and initiatives
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and proper documentation of analysis deliverables
- Mentor junior analysts and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement
- Identify causal relationships using advanced statistical and predictive modeling techniques
- Segment users based on demographic, behavioral, and psychographic attributes to enhance personalization and lifecycle communications
- Conduct deep-dive analyses to answer strategic business questions, identify opportunities, and recommend actionable insights
