About The Role

The Market Data Analyst at S4 Market Data is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing client projects and ensuring the seamless delivery of our managed services. This role involves managing market data service inquiries, coordinating with internal teams, and supervising administrative tasks related to market data contracts and vendor management. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in the market data domain, including vendor negotiations, contract administration, and procurement processes. This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. As a fully remote role based in the US, the Market Data Analyst will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders such as legal, finance, IT, and business units to ensure compliance, cost efficiency, and high-quality service delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems (MIS), Business Administration, or a related field
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in financial services or market data management
• Experience working with market data vendors such as Bloomberg, FactSet, and exchanges like NYSE, ICE, etc.
• Knowledge of inventory systems such as FITS and MDSL (preferred)
• Strong communication and project management skills
• Experience working with internal stakeholders across legal, finance, IT, and business units
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
• Entrepreneurial mindset with high energy and self-motivation
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day demand and vendor management inquiries from internal business units, including sourcing requests, contract negotiations, entitlement administration, and exchange reporting
• Oversee inventory management processes, ensuring accuracy of leavers/joiners and current inventory data
• Coordinate the reconciliation of invoices and validate monthly expenses and allocations
• Conduct regular exchange reporting, ensuring compliance with exchange policies and data governance standards
• Administer data feeds such as EMRS, DACS, and others, ensuring their proper functioning and compliance
• Review and analyze spend data to identify cost-saving opportunities and implement cost avoidance initiatives
• Provide detailed cost reports and insights to internal stakeholders, responding to inquiries and supporting decision-making
• Lead internal team meetings to monitor service level agreements (SLAs) and ensure client deliverables are met on time
• Collaborate with legal, finance, and IT teams to facilitate procurement and contractual processes
