Senior UX Designer (Service) – 12 Month Contract

We’re looking for a Senior UX Designer (Service) to join a leading digital experience team on a 12-month contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape meaningful customer experiences across web and mobile platforms within a large, complex organisation.
About The Role
Reporting to the UX Design Manager, you’ll play a key role in designing and evolving customer journeys across mobile apps (iOS & Android), online service portals, and claims experiences.
You’ll lead design direction, align stakeholders, and deliver scalable, user-centred outcomes using established design systems and platforms.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who can confidently translate strategy into high-quality, delivery-ready UX solutions.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead UX design across responsive web and native mobile platforms
- Shape and communicate design direction, influencing stakeholders across product, delivery, and engineering
- Contribute to planning, prioritisation, and delivery of design work
- Create seamless and accessible experiences using design systems and component libraries
- Simplify complex requirements into intuitive customer journeys
- Guide user research and testing, using insights to inform design decisions
- Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver scalable, practical solutions
- Contribute to the growth of UX practice and continuous improvement initiatives
About You
- 3+ years’ experience in UX design, ideally in digital product environments
- Strong experience designing for native mobile apps (iOS & Android)
- Deep understanding of platform conventions, accessibility, and usability best practices
- Advanced proficiency in Figma (auto layout, components, variants, responsive design, design systems)
- Experience working on service, claims, onboarding, or transactional journeys highly regarded
- Exposure to Adobe AEM/EDS or similar CMS platforms is a bonus
- A confident communicator who can articulate design decisions and influence outcomes
- Self-organised, collaborative, and passionate about delivering customer-centred design
