Stratton Studios is looking for a UI/UX Designer to lead the strategy and execution of user interface and experience design across multiple game projects. In addition to hands-on UI/UX design work, you’ll guide internal standards, mentor other designers, and ensure consistency and clarity across gameplay and player-facing systems.
Role Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end UI/UX design from early wireframes to final asset delivery across multiple titles.
- Create player-centric designs through structured wireframing, prototyping, and playtesting.
- Produce high-fidelity UI visuals and game-ready assets that are optimized and implementation-ready.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to align visual language, user flows, and design systems with project goals.
- Conduct and present design reviews, usability insights, and player feedback analysis.
- Support and mentor other UI/UX designers across projects, defining standards and encouraging growth.
- Represent UI/UX in project leadership discussions and client-facing reviews.
- Drive documentation, design systems, and workflow improvements to scale UI development efficiently.
What We’re Looking For
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Proven expertise in game-focused UI/UX design, with a portfolio of shipped projects across platforms.
- Advanced knowledge of interaction design, visual hierarchy, and accessibility principles.
- Experience managing cross-project consistency and leading team design practices.
- Skilled at balancing creative exploration with practical constraints for implementation.
- Comfortable communicating and presenting work to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of gameplay mechanics and player psychology, with the ability to translate that into UI flows and design systems.
Bonus Skills (Preferred):
- Experience working with development teams on real-time iteration and UI testing.
- Familiarity with metrics-based design decisions using telemetry or player feedback.
- Background in game economy or HUD design systems.
- Experience managing UI localization pipelines or multi-language layouts.
KPIs:
- Deliver ≥95% of UI/UX deliverables (wireframes, prototypes, assets) on time and aligned with project goals.
- Achieve ≥90% satisfaction score from clients and cross-discipline teams on UI/UX clarity and usability.
- Ensure 100% consistency of design systems and documentation across supported projects.
- Conduct and present at least 1 usability or player feedback session per milestone.
- Mentor at least 2 mid or junior designers per quarter, with documented growth progress.
- Contribute 2+ workflow or system improvements per quarter that increase team efficiency.
- Maintain <5% revision rate on final approved assets after leadership or client reviews.
