Strativ Group are partnered with a rapidly scaling technology company building enterprise-grade identity and security solutions that help global organizations protect users, systems, and data at scale.

The role they are hiring for is a Staff-level Individual Contributor role working directly with the CTO on architecture, systems design, and problem-solving across complex backend, infrastructure, and network environments. You’ll shape engineering direction, mentor peers, and deliver solutions that support millions of secure transactions every day.

The Opportunity

You’ll be solving diverse technical challenges spanning distributed systems, databases, and network protocols, all within a fast-moving, high-growth product environment. This isn’t a narrow coding role — it’s for engineers who enjoy being given problems, not tasks, and thrive in ownership, autonomy, and ambiguity.

What You’ll Do

• Design and implement backend systems, APIs, and infrastructure supporting high-scale enterprise products
• Partner directly with the CTO on system architecture, scalability, and performance
• Work across teams (ML, Fraud, Computer Vision, Mobile, Core Infrastructure) to ensure platform reliability and interoperability
• Collaborate with enterprise clients to translate complex customer requirements into technical solutions
• Drive engineering excellence and innovation through mentorship, architecture reviews, and experimentation

What We’re Looking For

• 8+ years of software engineering experience (including Staff / Principal level)
• Deep backend, database, and network technology expertise
• Solid understanding of distributed systems, protocols, and large-scale infrastructure
• Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset
• Evidence of fast learning and adaptability — experience picking up new technologies quickly
• Blend of startup agility and enterprise engineering maturity
• Proven ability to work autonomously, solving complex problems end-to-end

Bonus Points

• Cybersecurity or identity domain experience
• Contributions to open-source, patents, or speaking at major tech conferences
• Experience with OIDC / SAML integrations or enterprise authentication systems
• Advanced degree (MSc/PhD)
