Senior Software Engineer – Modeling & Simulation

A Series B AI startup is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to help build agentic systems that enable edge modernization across defense and national security applications. Founded by a team from OpenAI, Microsoft, Google, and other leading technology companies, the business is developing next-generation AI platforms that support autonomous decision-making in complex operational environments.

The company is looking for an experienced engineer to lead the development of modeling and simulation capabilities used to train, evaluate, and deploy advanced AI systems. This individual will work closely with AI researchers and platform engineers to create high-fidelity simulation environments and scalable infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering, distributed systems, and simulation technologies, with experience building complex platforms in defense, aerospace, robotics, autonomy, or related domains.

Key Requirements:

• 4+ Years' experience in Software Engineering
• Strong experience with modeling, simulation, digital twins, or synthetic environments
• Proficiency in Python, C++, Rust, Go, or similar engineering languages
• Experience building distributed systems and scalable software platforms
• Background in defense, autonomy, robotics, aerospace, or mission-critical environments
