The Role
Our client is looking for a Senior Software Engineer (Audio & DSP) to build and optimize their real-time speech processing stack. You’ll develop DSP algorithms, integrate with AI models, and help shape product architecture. Your work will impact how thousands of consumers interact with voice AI systems every day.
Responsibilities
- Design and optimize DSP algorithms for noise reduction, speech enhancement, echo cancellation, and beamforming.
- Improve multi-speaker handling using VAD, source separation, and speaker diarization.
- Build low-latency, multi-channel audio pipelines.
- Collaborate with AI/ML, infrastructure, hardware, and product teams.
- Prototype software and hardware-assisted solutions for voice AI.
- Maintain high-quality, testable code and best engineering practices.
Requirements
Must-Have
- 5+ years in audio signal processing or speech technology.
- Strong experience with real-time, multi-channel audio systems.
- Deep knowledge of VAD, beamforming, source separation, and diarization.
- Experience with ASR integration and speech performance evaluation.
- Proficiency in C++ and/or Python.
- Comfortable in a distributed, remote-first team.
Nice-to-Have
- ML-based speech enhancement or end-to-end ASR experience.
- Observability frameworks for real-time systems.
- Hardware prototyping with audio devices.
