Senior Software Engineer

Job Overview:

Stratfield is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Software Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in enterprise software development in Java or C# and will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining high-performance applications, enhancing existing systems, and supporting critical production environments_._

(This is a direct hire position that is remote. Sponsorship is not available for this position.)

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance applications.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement technical solutions.

• Apply asynchronous development practices to optimize performance and responsiveness.

• Write and optimize complex Oracle SQL queries and manage efficient database interactions.

• Develop and execute unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and system reliability.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.

• 5+ years of experience in software development, preferably in enterprise environments.

• Proficiency in Java or C#, asynchronous programming, and Oracle SQL.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with experience in debugging and performance tuning.

• Experience with unit testing frameworks such as JUnit, XUnit, or Mockito.

• Familiarity with AWS and Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform is a plus.

• Bonus: Experience with C++, shell scripting, Linux, and/or Financial Services industry.
