Field CTO – Oslo

A rapidly growing AI technology company is looking for a Field CTO to lead its technical and customer-facing operations in Norway.

This is a senior, hands-on leadership role combining technology, enterprise customers, AI, commercial strategy and team building. You’ll work with GTM to help organisations identify high-value opportunities for AI, translate those opportunities into practical solutions, and ensure successful deployment and adoption.

You’ll work closely with senior customers and internal commercial and technical teams, while building and leading a high-performing local technical organisation.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and grow the local engineering and customer-facing technical teams i.e FDEs, Deployment Strategists etc
• Provide technical leadership across AI, software architecture, APIs, integrations, data and cloud infrastructure
• Work directly with GTM & enterprise customers from initial discovery through solution design, deployment and adoption
• Partner with commercial teams to identify valuable AI use cases, shape technical proposals and define measurable outcomes
• Act as a senior technical advisor to C-suite and senior enterprise stakeholders
• Support engineering teams in resolving complex technical, product and customer challenges
• Build a strong, customer-focused engineering culture centred on quality, speed and impact
• Recruit, coach and retain exceptional technical and customer-facing talent

What they’re looking for

• Hands-on CTO with recent AI experience and ability to work with GTM functions
• Experience working directly with enterprise customers and C-level stakeholders
• Strong commercial awareness and the ability to translate business problems into practical technical solutions
• Demonstrable experience influencing or supporting enterprise technology sales
• High agency and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and interpersonal skills
• Fluency in Norwegian/Swedish and English
