Job Title: Principal Fullstack Engineer

Salary: $160,000 - $180,000 per year

We are a dynamic, fast-growing startup building an AI-powered fintech platform aimed at modernizing financial operations for mid-sized and enterprise companies. Our founding team consists of seasoned entrepreneurs and industry experts, supported by leading venture capital firms. Since our inception 1.5 years ago, we have experienced remarkable growth and are now looking for a talented Staff Software Engineer to help evolve our product and drive our next phase of development.

Role & Responsibilities:

As a Staff Software Engineer, you will play a central role in building and scaling our AI-driven platform to meet the needs of our growing customer base, which includes mid-sized businesses and large enterprises. You'll work alongside experienced tech veterans to design, develop, and maintain high-quality solutions for complex financial operations such as document and data processing, transaction reconciliation, anomaly detection, complex financial calculations, analytics & reporting, and more. Your responsibilities will include:

• Building and evolving our platform and supporting services.
• System design and development.
• Infrastructure configuration, deployment, and maintenance.
• Database management, testing, and monitoring.

You will be a key contributor to both the technical and product aspects of the platform, helping us create scalable and robust solutions in a fast-paced, agile environment.

Key Requirements:

• 7+ years of full-stack software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript (React, Node.js).
• Strong experience with SQL/PostgreSQL.
• Technically strong with a fast learning curve, excellent system design, problem-solving skills, and the ability to evaluate tradeoffs between different solutions.
• Self-sufficient, proactive, and a bias toward action.
• Strong opinions, loosely held.

Preferences:

• Previous experience with mid to late-stage startups.
• Experience in fintech, finance, accounting, insurance, and/or enterprise SaaS software.
• Familiarity with CRM/ERP systems (e.g., Salesforce, Quickbooks) and banking integrations.
• Knowledge of financial calculations, analytics, and general data science.
