Compensation: 200-250k Base + bonus + Equity

We are currently partnered with a Series A mobile first EdTech platform that specializes in developing products for students that helps ehance academic, financial, and emotional wellbein in search of Head of Engineering to join their team.
This is going to be the first full-time engineering hire for the firm so we are looking for an individual who can still contribute to code and has scaled a team in the past.
Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Architecture
Own the full engineering strategy, technical roadmap, and long-term platform architecture.
Make core decisions on infrastructure, architecture, and development processes.
Establish engineering best practices, coding standards, and a high-performance developer culture.
Write and ship production-level code daily across frontend, backend, and mobile surfaces.
Lead and mentor a small engineering team as it grows from 1 → 3 → 10+ over the first 12–24 months.
Design and implement AI-driven features for workflow automation, content generation, optimisation, personalisation, and recommendation logic.
Work closely with the CEO and CPO to influence product strategy, delivery timelines, and fundraising narratives.
