Stoke is a mid-sized (50+ employees), award-winning creative and marketing agency specializing in integrated campaigns across traditional, social, and out-of-home (OOH) channels. Our team develops strategy, content, and creative for global enterprise brands such as Adobe, Cisco, and Twilio.

We are a fully remote organization with team members located throughout the United States, collaborating to deliver high-impact creative solutions for our clients.

The Freelance Role

Stoke is seeking an experienced freelance senior graphic designer with a diverse and exceptional portfolio. This role reports to a Creative Director and collaborates closely with cross-functional teams, including Project Managers and strategists, to deliver high-quality creative work. Projects may vary, and not all assignments will require every skill listed below.

Key Responsibilities

• Ideation, concepting, and execution of creative content, including:

• Digital demand content (social media, advertising, email, landing pages, etc.)

• Brand identity development and visual systems

• Motion design (concepting, designing, and storyboarding for handoff to animators)

• Layout design for eBooks, white papers, and print collateral

• Art direction of photo and video shoots

• Web and presentation design

• Collaborate with Creative Directors and Project Managers to ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget.

• Translate strategic objectives into compelling visual solutions.

• Maintain brand consistency across all deliverables.

• Contribute creative insights while effectively incorporating feedback.

• Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, remote environment.

The Ideal Candidate

• 4+ years of professional design experience, preferably within an agency environment and working with major or enterprise-level brands.

• BFA in Graphic Design or equivalent professional experience.

• Based in the United States with full professional English fluency.

• Mastery of industry-standard tools, including Figma, Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop (experience with After Effects or similar tools is a plus).

• Strong understanding of typography, layout, color, and visual hierarchy.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with internal teams and clients.

• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to meeting project requirements.

• Ability to take direction while also contributing strategic and creative thinking.

• A genuine passion for high-quality, effective design.

Compensation

• $80 per hour

• Up to 20 hours per week (as needed)

• Freelance engagement with the potential for ongoing collaboration based on performance and business needs.
