Job Summary:

The Senior Digital Software Engineer plays a pivotal role in the ongoing success and evolution of Stirista's core digital advertising infrastructure. This position is fundamentally centered on the robust support and continuous enhancement of critical projects, with primary emphasis on the Stirista Digital Service Provider Platform (DSP) and its interconnected suite of services.

As a Senior Digital Software Engineer, you will be entrusted with a comprehensive range of responsibilities that encompass the entire software development lifecycle. This includes, but is not limited to, the meticulous development of new features, the strategic enhancement of existing functionalities, the diligent debugging of complex issues, and the proactive maintenance of high-performance software and web applications. The technical stack for this role is deeply rooted in modern, scalable technologies, specifically utilizing Golang for high-concurrency operations, PHP 8 and Symfony 7 for robust web application frameworks, and MySQL for efficient data management. A strong commitment to quality is paramount, and as such, proficiency in automated testing technologies is a core requirement to ensure the reliability and stability of all deployments.

Beyond direct coding and development, this role carries significant operational and leadership duties. You will be responsible for ensuring that the Stirista DSP platform and associated services maintain sufficient capacity to handle fluctuating demands, achieve optimal uptime to guarantee uninterrupted service, and consistently deliver high availability for our clients. This necessitates clear and concise communication with management and various stakeholders, providing timely updates on project progress, technical challenges, and proposed solutions.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical authority and domain expert for the Adstir Demand-Side Platform (DSP) and related MarTech services.
• Lead the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) for the Adstir DSP and Stirista Digital business unit, encompassing design, development, enhancement, debugging, testing, and maintenance of scalable and performant web applications.
• Drive technical excellence through strong command and hands-on application of Golang, PHP 8, Symfony 7, MySQL, and automated testing frameworks (e.g., Codeception, Ginkgo), ensuring high-quality and robust solutions.
• Collaborate strategically with cross-functional and international teams, providing technical guidance and fostering efficient project execution to meet dynamic customer demands.
• Partner with Software Engineering Leadership and business stakeholders to define project roadmaps, validate technical approaches, and ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
• Oversee the successful implementation and delivery of features, ensuring they achieve the intended business value and user objectives.
• Champion operational excellence, ensuring the Adstir DSP maintains high availability, uptime, sufficient capacity, and robust security posture.
• Optimize resource allocation and manage project constraints efficiently to control operational expenses while maximizing project value.
• Establish and maintain clear, proactive communication channels with management and stakeholders, providing timely updates on project status, risks, and release expectations.
• Mentor and guide junior and mid-level developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical growth within the team.
• Conduct code reviews and contribute to architectural discussions, ensuring adherence to best practices, coding standards, and system scalability.

Requirements

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or relevant coursework
• 8-10 years of experience in software development working with programming languages, database technologies and operating systems
• Advanced skills in Golang, PHP 8, Symfony 5-7, MySQL, and related web technologies
• Proficiency with ElasticSearch, Clickhouse, Redis, Kafka, Docker, Git and Bitbucket pipelines
• Front-end experience with Javascript, Bootstrap, and Webpack. Additional experience with HTML5, JQuery, AngularJS/Angular, and CSS3/SCSS a plus
• Web Programming Skills, E-Commerce, cross-browser compatibility, Web User Interface Design (UI), Security Principles
• Working knowledge of Confluence, JIRA and Grafana a plus
• Proficient in version control practices, including fluency with Git (Git based repositories and version management with Bitbucket)
• Understanding of fundamental design principles for building a scalable application
• Knowledge of concurrency patterns
• Able to contribute to automation, causal analysis, and development of shared/common solutions

Highly Desirable

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or relevant coursework
• Experience in managing design and development projects
• Defining usability requirements based on business objectives
• Ability to Identify milestones and goals in the development process
• Experience creating and using User Personas, User Stories, and User Flows, and information architecture diagrams
• Experience working with international/cross-cultural teams

Salary Description

Salary Range: $100,000 - $130,000
