Mainframe z/OS Systems Programmer (prior state client)

Job Description:

• Provide senior-level systems administration support for z/OS operating systems and related components.
• Perform configuration, upgrades, testing, security administration, and performance monitoring.
• Support mainframe operations in the State’s Data Center Services (DCS).
• Provide administration and support for CICS, IMS, JES2, SMS, TSS, SCLM, BlueZone.
• Diagnose issues, perform root cause analysis, and recommend system tuning/capacity planning.
• Develop and maintain mainframe production control and support jobs.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 5+ years of z/OS Systems Programming
• Experience with JES2, z/OS Unix (OMVS), Storage Management Subsystem (SMS)
• 3+ years of Top Secret Security (TSS)
• 3+ years of performance monitoring & issue analysis
• 2+ years of REXX scripting

Preferred:

• Informatica Power Exchange Administration (CDC with IMS/VSAM)
• Networking (VTAM, TCP/IP)
• Job scheduling tools (JOBTRAC), BlueZone, VTAM/SWITCH
• SMP/E, RMF, SMF, WLM, JCL, GRS
• TLS/SSL certificates, SFTP, FTPS
• SCLM administration

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $60.00 - $65.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
