Position Summary

STERIS is seeking a Senior Salesforce Solution Engineer with deep expertise in Salesforce Field Service and Service Cloud to join our internal Business Systems team. This role is central to our multi-year Salesforce transformation, starting with the initial implementation of Field Service and Service Cloud in years 1–2, and continuing to drive scalability, optimization, and innovation across our service operations.

You’ll lead the analysis, design, and delivery of integrated Salesforce solutions that support field service, repair center, and customer support workflows. This includes translating business needs into scalable configurations, collaborating with technical teams, and ensuring solutions are sustainable and aligned with long-term business goals.

  • This is a remote position. Qualified candidates must be currently located in the Continental U.S. with a preference for the Eastern and Central time zones.

What You'll Do As a Senior Salesforce Solutions Engineer

  • Lead requirements gathering sessions using structured techniques such as interviews, workshops, and story mapping.
  • Translate business needs into clear, concise user stories and functional specifications.
  • Design and document scalable Salesforce solutions across Field Service and Service Cloud, including work order management, technician scheduling, mobile workflows, and case management.
  • Configure Salesforce objects, fields, flows, page layouts, and record-triggered automations.
  • Collaborate with developers to support integration design, data modeling, and platform extensions.
  • Participate in testing cycles (QA and UAT), defect triage, and go-live readiness.
  • Maintain system and business process documentation and support end-user training.
  • Mentor junior analysts and review their work for accuracy and completeness.
  • Support production issue resolution and ensure timely communication with stakeholders.

The Experience, Skills And Abilities Needed

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 7+ years of experience in software development lifecycle, with demonstrated experience in the Salesforce platform.
  • Proven experience with Salesforce Field Service and Service Cloud implementations.
  • Strong understanding of agile methodologies and ability to write clear, concise user stories.
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce configuration and low-code automation tools (Flow, Process Builder).
  • Experience mentoring junior team members and leading cross-functional initiatives.

Preferred:

  • 7+ years of experience in Service Organizations.
  • Salesforce certifications (e.g., Field Service Consultant, Service Cloud Consultant, Administrator).
  • Certified Scrum Master or Product Owner.
  • Experience with automated testing tools and business intelligence platforms.
  • Role is listed as remote with large preference for candidate to reside in EST or CST zones

Pay range for this opportunity is $90,000 - $110,000. This position is eligible for bonus participation.

Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed. Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.
