We’re looking for an experienced Backend Developer to maintain, scale and extend our Golang backend and Postgres database. In this role, you will also lead the development of Python microservices that power unique audio and music features, ensure our infrastructure scales to support a growing user base, and help shape the future of music technology. You will work with engineers who previously worked at Apple, Microsoft, VK, Unity and start-ups.

You Will:

- Take charge of our Golang codebase – design, build, and maintain backend services that are robust, efficient, and secure.

- Implement and improve Python microservices for audio features (such as audio analysis) that drive our core product and mobile app.

- Oversee our PostgreSQL database, ensuring data integrity, optimal performance, and scalability as we grow.

- Handle AWS cloud deployments for our backend cluster (containers/instances), monitoring and optimizing for performance and cost.

- Set up and manage GCP environments for GPU-intensive tasks (e.g. audio processing or machine learning features), ensuring seamless integration with our system.

- Work closely with the mobile app team and audio software engineer to integrate new features, troubleshoot issues, and deliver a smooth end-user experience.

- Establish and uphold coding standards, testing routines, and CI/CD pipelines to maintain high code quality. Debug, profile, and tune our systems for reliability and low latency.

- Contribute to architectural decisions and product strategy, bringing new ideas on how technology can improve creative music applications.

Requirements:

- 3+ years of experience using Golang backend applications in Go (Golang) in a production environment.

- 2+ years of experience using SQL (schema design, complex queries, optimization) in a production environment

- Hands-on experience deploying, running, and managing services on AWS. Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), especially for leveraging GPU instances or related services.

- Bachelor's of Science or higher degree in Computer Science, Maths, Physics or equivalent

- Self-directed, high output and organized in the context of remote and fast-paced environment

- Superb English communication
