Backend Developer (Java, AWS)

Open Position: Backend Developer / Software Engineer – (Project via Stefanini LATAM)

Contract Type: Contractor | Remote

We are looking for an experienced Backend Developer to join an international and challenging project through Stefanini LATAM. If you are passionate about innovation, code quality, and teamwork, we want you in our team!

Requirements:

• Advanced English (mandatory).
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (preferably Computer Science) or equivalent.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Excellent proficiency in Java and Spring Boot framework.
• Skilled in containerization (Kubernetes/Docker), microservices architecture, and RESTful API integration.
• Experience with cloud (AWS), databases (Postgres), low-latency cache, CI/CD tools (Gitlab, Terraform), all test automation levels, and messaging (Kafka/SQS).
• Location: Costa Rica or Mexico.
• Availability to work on PST timezone.

Main Responsibilities:

• Feature design and feedback.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and teams to deliver high-quality technical solutions.
• Mentor junior developers and lead code reviews.
• Continuously pursue excellence in automation, testing, performance, and scalability.
• Act with a DevOps mindset and support cloud infrastructure.
