Staff Engineer - Fintech Startup (Remote)
About Us
We're a well-capitalized fintech startup building critical infrastructure for underserved verticals.
We're revenue-generating with two active product lines and have significant customer demand.
The Opportunity
We need a player-coach engineer to take ownership of our reconciliation SaaS platform and scale it from MVP to a production-ready, multi-tenant system serving hundreds of customers. You'll work alongside our founding engineer (who focuses on innovation and new modules) while you build the robust, well-architected foundation our growing customer base requires.
We need someone who can deliver consistently while maintaining high technical standards.
What You'll Do
- Own the core platform: Take our working MVP and architect/build a scalable, multi-tenant SaaS product that can handle massive data volumes
- Ship to customers: Get our reconciliation product across the finish line so we can convert our waitlist into paying customers
- Build for scale: Design infrastructure and architecture that supports hundreds or thousands of customers, not just one design partner
- Bridge the gap: Take prototypes from our innovation-focused engineer and transform them into production-ready features integrated into the core platform
- Set the standard: Establish reliability, security, and compliance practices as we handle sensitive financial data
- Communicate clearly: Translate complex technical concepts for non-technical founders and keep everyone aligned on timelines and progress
