Senior Developer (Risk)

Join our fast-growing, distributed startup based in Singapore as a Senior Developer (Risk), where you will be taking the lead on development and maintenance of internal applications and services that power our KYC processes, salary advance, open banking data and advanced workflows.

Key Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in software development within advanced workflows such as customer signup and application processing, with deep expertise in Python, microservices architecture, and AWS Lambda (serverless solutions).
• Strong fundamentals in algorithms, data structures, data mining, and clean code principles.
• Proven track record integrating with KYC and open banking providers, and building internal solutions for credit applications, credit decisioning, and statement processing.
• Hands-on experience working closely with risk teams to build credit models, templates, shadow scoring, and backtesting both with and without machine learning.
• Solid understanding of systems using SQS or Kafka.
• Skilled in API communication and resolving performance bottlenecks.
• Strong experience with unit tests, integration tests, and generating clear documentation.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Experience with AWS cloud platform.
• Familiar with IaC (infrastructure as a code)
• Experience mentoring junior developers, reviewing PR’s and creating solution proposals.
• Ability to work independently and constructively with others and taking lead.
• Experience working in a startup environment.
• Ability to work a minimum of 35 hours per week. These should be regular hours, daylight in your timezone, Monday to Friday.
• Excellent English skills, both written and verbal.
• Have a good internet connection, hardware available.

Optional but Preferred:

• Experience using AI within the risk domain.
• Experience with GCP cloud platform.
• Experience with backend development using Node.js.
• Adaptability to changing priorities and fast development cycles.
• Experience deploying and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Previous experience hiring developers or leading teams.
