Kesar Bazar is a grocery and FMCG retail brand focused on delivering quality products and a strong customer experience. We are looking for a creative, proactive, and execution-oriented Head of Design & Video Production to lead our visual communication across digital platforms, marketing campaigns, product packaging, and brand assets.

Role Overview

We are looking for a professional who can independently take ownership of the design and video production function, from research and concept development to final execution and delivery.

The ideal candidate should have strong creative judgment, a good understanding of consumer behaviour and FMCG packaging trends, leadership skills, and the ability to turn business requirements into high-quality creative outputs. The candidate must take initiative, make informed decisions, solve problems independently, and deliver work within agreed timelines.

Key Responsibilities1. Creative Strategy & Design Leadership

• Lead the creative direction for Kesar Bazar's social media, digital marketing campaigns, promotional materials, and brand communication.
• Independently make creative decisions regarding layouts, colours, typography, visual styles, and campaign concepts.
• Develop innovative design concepts that align with brand identity, marketing objectives, and customer expectations.
• Research competitors, industry trends, and successful creative campaigns across relevant platforms.
• Ensure consistency in brand identity across all digital and offline communication.

2. Social Media Graphics & Campaign Creatives

• Plan and create high-quality social media graphics, promotional banners, advertisements, festival creatives, offer announcements, and product promotions.
• Design creatives for platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, and other relevant channels.
• Understand the requirements of paid advertising and create visually engaging assets focused on engagement, conversions, and sales.
• Develop multiple creative concepts and variations for A/B testing and campaign optimisation.
• Coordinate with the marketing team to understand campaign objectives and translate them into effective visual communication.

3. Product Packaging & Design Research

• Research modern, attractive, and commercially viable packaging designs across online platforms, competitor brands, and packaging suppliers.
• Conceptualise and design sweet boxes, grocery packaging, food containers, product labels, carry bags, and other brand packaging materials.
• Explore different packaging materials, shapes, sizes, printing techniques, finishes, and cost-effective design options.
• Research packaging trends, supplier capabilities, manufacturing feasibility, and practical usability before finalising concepts.
• Prepare print-ready artwork, dielines, mockups, and production specifications in coordination with vendors.
• Ensure packaging designs are visually appealing, practical, brand-consistent, and suitable for the intended products.
• Coordinate with the purchase and operations teams to support sampling, revisions, approvals, and final production.

4. Video Editing & Motion Graphics

• Lead video editing and production for product promotions, social media reels, advertisements, festival campaigns, and brand storytelling.
• Create engaging short-form videos, motion graphics, animated banners, and promotional videos.
• Ensure videos follow platform-specific formats, creative trends, brand guidelines, and campaign objectives.
• Manage video production workflows from concept and editing to final export and delivery.
• Identify opportunities to improve video quality, audience retention, and creative performance.

5. Research, Innovation & Competitor Analysis

• Regularly research creative inspiration from social media, competitor websites, e-commerce platforms, packaging marketplaces, and design communities.
• Identify new design trends, packaging innovations, promotional concepts, and visual storytelling techniques.
• Present practical creative recommendations instead of simply waiting for instructions.
• Maintain an organised reference library of designs, packaging concepts, templates, and creative assets.
• Continuously improve the quality, speed, and effectiveness of creative output.
