Position Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Project Manager to support the execution of retail brand projects, with a focus on design development, construction coordination, budgeting, and scheduling. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in retail environments and construction-related projects, who can work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with design intent.
The ideal candidate should also be able to provide support similar to a junior designer during the DD (Design Development) and CD (Construction Documentation) phases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Project Lead in the planning, coordination, and execution of retail brand projects
- Assist in managing project timelines, deliverables, and day-to-day coordination across multiple stakeholders
- Coordinate with internal teams, designers, consultants, contractors, vendors, and other external partners to ensure smooth project progress
- Provide support in budget tracking and schedule management to help ensure projects are delivered within approved budgets and timelines
- Assist in the preparation, review, and coordination of project documentation throughout different project phases
- Support the DD (Design Development) and CD (Construction Documentation) phases with design-related coordination and documentation tasks
- Contribute as a junior designer-level support resource, including drawing coordination, design detail follow-up, and material/finish tracking
- Help identify project risks, issues, and delays, and support timely resolution
- Participate in site-related coordination and follow up on construction progress to ensure alignment with project requirements
- Maintain organized project records, meeting notes, reports, and communication logs
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field preferred
- Minimum 3 years of work experience in a retail brand environment
- Experience in the construction field is required
- Proven project coordination experience
- Experience supporting project budgets and schedules
- Familiarity with the DD and CD phases of project development
- Ability to provide design-related support at a junior designer level
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Good communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and solution-driven
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in retail store development, commercial interior projects, or branded environments
- Familiarity with design and project management tools such as AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and project tracking tools
- Experience working with contractors, consultants, and external vendors
- English communication skills in an international working environment are a plus
