Role Description

This is a contract/per project role for a Freelance Proposal Designer located in the Greater Edmonton Metropolitan Area. The Proposal Designer will develop high-quality proposals and presentation materials to support business development and bid submissions. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating visually compelling designs, ensuring brand alignment, coordinating input from stakeholders, proofreading documents, and managing proposal timelines and requirements to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in proposal design, preferably within construction, engineering or a related industry.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (e.g., InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and Microsoft Office (PowerPoint and Word).
• Strong skills in writing, editing, proofreading, and creating visually engaging content for proposals and presentations.
• Project management abilities, including coordinating with teams, meeting deadlines, and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Understanding of branding and marketing strategies to create cohesive materials that align with company identity.
• Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred.
