Embedded Software Engineer (C++ / RTOS) - (Remote)We are looking for a Embedded Software Engineer (C++ / RTOS) for a global aerospace company. In this role, you will design, develop, and integrate real-time embedded software (C/C++) for aerospace and defense systems, ensuring reliable performance across the full software development lifecycle.

This is an 8-month contract (with likely extensions), a 40-hour-per-week role (5-day, 8-hour shifts per week), and it is a remote position in the US.

This is a W-2 role as a Stage 4 Solutions employee. Health benefits and 401K are offered.

Responsibilities

• Designs develops operates and maintains software and firmware components and computing systems software to be applied to and integrated with engineering scientific and manufacturing requirements.
• Applies the appropriate standards processes procedures and tools throughout the system development life cycle to support the generation of such engineering applications and produces such as laboratory simulations systems airplane flight control and display systems avionics mechanical and electrical systems weapons armament commercial and military aircraft systems mobile and ground-based defense systems space systems and other systems and applications of this nature. interfaces with customers suppliers application users and other technical and support personnel.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen and should be eligible to obtain security clearance.
• Minimum 6+ years of experience with programming languages such as C, C++
• Standard teaming: Ability to work with multi-disciplined teams
• Experience with full software life cycle development including SW design, architecture and integration & test
• Bachelor's degree

Desired Skills

• Real Time Operating System (RTOS) experience – (GreenHill or VxWorks)
• Knowledge of Agile Software Development
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of Model Base Systems Engineering (MBSE)
• Previous experience writing and designing to software requirements

Compensation: $55/hr - $59.25/hr
