Startup Description:
Airback is an innovative travel brand, originally from Amsterdam, known for creating the first backpack with built-in compression technology. With over 1 million followers on Instagram and 400K on TikTok in just 1.5 years, they are on a mission to become a global leader in the travel industry and are currently launching new product lines such as luggage. With a growing international team of 12, including two team members already based in the Philippines, Airback is looking for an in-house designer to become their third hire in the country.
Schedule:
Full-time position of 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday, Amsterdam time zone (3 pm to 12 am Manila).
What you’ll do:
- Design eye-catching creative assets for a range of marketing collaterals such as static ads, emails, decks, and landing pages.
- Develop content ideas inspired by brand campaigns, contribute to creative direction as part of a rebranding effort, and support the process with visual boards and design kits.
- Produce simple animated content and edit videos, integrating voiceovers and localized elements.
- Maintain a consistent visual identity that effectively communicates the brand identity, engages the audience, and drives performance.
- Collaborate with internal teams and/or agencies to understand project requirements and objectives, and to facilitate a fast delivery.
- Meet multiple project deadlines while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and techniques, to continuously improve capabilities and deliver cutting-edge visuals and videos.
What you’ll need:
- 3+ years of experience as a designer, with strong exposure to D2C and international brands.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects), Figma, and one video editing software like CapCut or similar.
- Solid understanding of design principles including color contrast, hierarchy, alignment, proximity, repetition, and white space.
- Ability to design fast and through phases of iterations, produce visually compelling work.
- Demonstrated work professionalism and organizational skills with careful attention to detail.
- Self-directed, highly motivated to work with a sense of urgency and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
