Sr. Software Engineer

At Staffing Abroad, we are looking for a Senior Software Engineer for one of our clients in the FinTech / financial services industry.

This role is ideal for someone with strong backend experience, solid knowledge of C#/.NET, and the ability to build secure, scalable, and high-performance systems in a collaborative environment.

What You’ll Do

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will:

• Develop, enhance, and maintain secure and scalable backend services using C#/.NET.
• Integrate with third-party APIs such as Plaid, Dwolla, and Treasury Prime.
• Contribute to system architecture, performance, scalability, and security.
• Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code.
• Support production applications, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability.
• Collaborate with frontend, QA, product, and IT teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering best practices.
• Apply security and compliance standards within FinTech applications.

What We’re Looking For

• 6+ years of backend software development experience.
• Strong experience with C#/.NET, ASP.NET MVC/WebAPI, and ORMs.
• Solid understanding of SOLID principles, Clean Code, design patterns, and software best practices.
• Experience with MSSQL database design and optimization.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture, distributed systems, and APIs.
• Experience with unit testing, integration testing, mocking, and code coverage.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, preferably using Azure DevOps.
• Proficiency with Git.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in collaborative teams.

Nice to Have

• Experience with React, Angular, or Node.js.
• Experience with Azure cloud services.
• FinTech or financial services industry experience.
• Knowledge of secure coding practices and compliance frameworks such as SOC2 or CCPA.
• Experience with APIs such as Plaid, Dwolla, or Treasury Prime.
