About this role
We are looking for a skilled 'Software Engineer in Test' engineer to join & work alongside our Australian engineering team. You will work to design, develop, and maintain automated
test suites for our web and mobile applications. You’ll work closely with QA, development, and DevOps teams to ensure delivery of high-quality software at speed.

Key Responsibilities
- Architect, implement, and maintain automated tests using Cypress (Typescript) for end-to-end UI testing.
- Develop and extend test frameworks in C# and TypeScript for API, integration, and unit testing.
- Configure and schedule nightly executions of UI tests using GitHub Actions
- Analyse test results, triage failures, and collaborate with developers to resolve defects.
- Write clear, maintainable, and reusable test code, adhering to best practices and coding standards.
- Continuously improve test coverage, performance, and reliability.
- Mentor junior QA engineers on automation tools and techniques.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in test automation for web applications.
- Strong hands-on experience with Cypress for end-to-end testing.
- Proficiency in C# and/or TypeScript, with solid object-oriented programming fundamentals.
- Experience building and maintaining test frameworks (e.g., NUnit, xUnit, Jest).
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps: pipelines, repos, artifacts, and test plans.
- Working knowledge of AWS: provisioning, IAM, and basic troubleshooting.
- Comfortable with Git and modern development workflows (feature branches, pull requests, code reviews).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, k6).
- Design and implement mobile-automation scripts
- Knowledge of Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD) frameworks (e.g., Cucumber).
- Experience with monitoring/logging tools (e.g., Application Insights, CloudWatch, Datadog).
- Certification in ISTQB, AWS, or Azure DevOps.
