Senior Data Scientist | Time Series & Forecasting | €80K | Germany
We’re partnered with a well-established organisation operating at the intersection of data, digital innovation, and business growth. With multiple offices across Germany, they’re expanding their data science team to keep up with growing demand for predictive and analytical solutions across their product and operations landscape.
They’re now seeking an experienced Senior Data Scientist with strong skills in time series analysis, clustering, and classical machine learning to join their cross-functional analytics group.
This role offers a chance to make a tangible business impact - supporting high-value projects in areas such as demand forecasting, customer analytics, and online sales optimisation.
The Role
As a Senior Data Scientist, you will:
- Develop and implement machine learning models for time series forecasting, clustering, and unsupervised learning tasks.
- Work with large, complex datasets to uncover actionable insights and drive business decisions.
- Build and maintain scalable data pipelines and modelling workflows using Python, scikit-learn, and related libraries.
- Apply statistical and machine learning techniques to support business functions including demand forecasting and sales optimisation.
- Collaborate with data engineers and business stakeholders to translate analytics into measurable business outcomes.
- Contribute to the growth and maturity of the company’s data science capabilities, helping shape standards and best practices.
Your Profile
- 5+ years of experience in data science or applied machine learning (8+ a plus).
- Proven expertise in time series analysis, forecasting, and clustering/unsupervised learning.
- Strong proficiency in Python (including libraries like scikit-learn); experience with PyTorch is a plus.
- Solid understanding of SQL and working knowledge of Databricks.
- Familiarity with MLflow and experience deploying models in AWS or Azure environments.
- Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Bonus: understanding of online sales, or marketing analytics.
- Willing to travel occasionally (2-3 times per year).
