My client in the retail domain are currently searching for a Senior Data Scientist to join their team in Germany.
As a Data Scientist, you'll operate at the intersection of mathematics, programming, and infrastructure. You will play a pivotal role in constructing robust big data architectures and devising the most fitting algorithms.
Your Responsibilities
- Create mathematical models in machine learning and statistical learning
- Find the sweet spot between modern AI techniques and tried-and-true classic methods, ensuring flexibility and efficiency.
- Develop systems for optimization and "experiment planning" that uncover optimal strategies for each product.
- Implement model validation (backtesting) methods to quantify the impact of our solutions on our clients' businesses, ensuring precision.
- Collaborate closely with product management, swiftly transforming ideas into efficient, well-tested code (primarily using R and Python).
- Contribute to the development of highly scalable solutions in collaboration with our engineering team.
Skills Required:
- A degree in either computer science, data science, mathematics, statistics, physics, or economics or a comparable field
- Proficiency in mathematics, including multivariable calculus and linear algebra
- Adeptness in statistics, covering probability, regression models, and hypothesis testing
- Software development using python, preferably in cloud-based environments
- Familiarity with libraries like Numpy, Pandas, Matplotlib, and Statsmodels; PySpark familiarity is a plus
- Familiarity with unit testing frameworks
- Good SQL skills
Salary range: €80,000 - 100,000
