Senior Product Designer

Job Overview

SquarePeg is a venture-backed, seed-stage B2B SaaS startup at the forefront of HR and recruiting technology. In 2025, we raised a fresh round of capital to integrate AI into our existing platform, which serves over 50 customers.

As the sole design contributor, this is a unique opportunity to own the entire design process, from user research and ideation to implementation and brand promotion. You'll be a strategic thinker, a skilled individual contributor, and a passionate advocate for user-centered design.

Responsibilities

• Take complete ownership of the product design lifecycle, from initial concept to final implementation.
• Conduct and facilitate user interviews to gather insights and validate design solutions.
• Synthesize user feedback and data analysis to identify user needs and pain points and make informed design decisions.
• Create and maintain polished, pixel-perfect interfaces that deliver a seamless and intuitive user experience.
• Create detailed implementation tasks for engineering, including designs, prototypes, and written specifications.
• Work closely with engineers throughout development to ensure accurate implementation and address technical constraints.
• Ensure the final coded features match design specifications.
• Actively engage in design discussions on LinkedIn and write blog posts to promote SquarePeg and establish thought leadership.

Qualifications

• 7+ years experience in product design.
• 2+ years experience as the sole contributing designer or small team at a SaaS startup.
• Strong understanding of UCD principles and methodologies.
• Strong portfolio showcasing your design process and impact.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Figma.
