Marketing & Brand Designer
Who we are:
We dream big. We love food. We’re building the next generation of marketing software, and our mission is to help the lifeblood of our communities, small businesses, specifically local restaurants and bars.
Launched in 2015, SpotHopper has quickly become the leading all-in-one marketing and operations platform for in-house teams to use at bars and restaurants. We work with over 17,000 restaurants and were recently named one of the 100 fastest-growing AI companies in the world.
SpotHopper's all-in-one marketing and operation technology helps independent restaurants tackle the challenges they face online from one easy-to-use platform, saving them time and money, and driving a significant ROI. The industry-leading solution enables operators to elevate their online image, increase exposure, bring in more customers, attract more qualified employees, and keep up with national chains.
The Role
We’re looking for a Marketing & Brand Designer to own SpotHopper’s visual identity across all customer-facing marketing channels. From our website and social presence to email campaigns and sales collateral, you’ll be the hands-on creative lead responsible for building a consistent, high-performing brand. You’ll collaborate closely with content, lifecycle, and engineering teammates — and have the creative freedom to evolve our visual system over time.
This is a roll-up-your-sleeves design role: one part brand guardian, one part creative engine. You’ll start with an existing design foundation, but you’ll also help define where we go next. If you love making marketing beautiful, effective, and on-brand — and can scale design without overcomplicating it — we’d love to meet you.
What You’ll Do
- Design and maintain all marketing assets, including website pages, emails, social posts, paid ad creatives, and sales materials
- Own visual brand consistency across all owned and paid channels
- Translate copy and strategy into high-impact visuals that drive engagement and conversion
- Collaborate closely with the Senior Content Manager, Email Lifecycle Manager, and VP of Marketing on campaigns, launches, and brand storytelling
- Partner with Engineering to implement visual updates across the website via our proprietary CMS
- Sync with Product Design to ensure brand cohesion across marketing and product experiences
- Manage our visual asset library, including logos, brand guidelines, templates, and image libraries
- Identify opportunities to evolve our visual identity and propose creative improvements
- Direct freelance designers or vendors as needed for overflow or specialized work
What You’ll Bring
- 3–5 years of experience in brand, marketing, or visual design — ideally for a SaaS, B2B, or tech-forward company
- Strong portfolio showcasing work across digital marketing channels: web, email, social, and sales enablement
- Advanced proficiency in Figma, including components, styles, responsive design, and shared libraries
- Solid understanding of layout, typography, color, and responsive design
- Experience collaborating with writers, marketers, and engineers to bring campaigns to life
- Strong organizational skills — you can manage multiple projects and design requests without missing a beat
- A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset and eye for clean, modern visual design
Bonus if You Have
- Experience developing or evolving a full design system
- Familiarity with AI design tools (e.g., Adobe Firefly, Canva Magic, Midjourney) or workflows
- Light motion or video editing skills (for Reels, Shorts, or paid assets)
- Experience with restaurant, hospitality, or food-adjacent brands
- Experience managing freelance designers or vendors
- Comfort preparing visual specs for Engineering or contributing to CMS-based workflows
- Experience designing micro-interactions or subtle UI animations that enhance the web experience
- Ability to prototype motion and transitions in Figma or hand off animation specs to Engineering
