About Speero
Speero is a CRO experimentation agency with over 12 years of experience working with industry-leading brands worldwide. We have a team of around 50 experts from all over the world, who work mostly remotely with occasional get togethers. We have offices in Austin, TX & Tallinn, Estonia.
ABOUT THE JOB AND THE WORK
- You'll work as part of a small UI Design team that designs A/B tests for clients of various sizes from enterprise to mid-size businesses, worldwide.
- Ideally you have intimate knowledge of Web / App UI design and a background in UX and graphic design.
- We're looking for someone who sees beyond just delivering designs and is passionate about the impact their work has on user behavior and business outcomes.
Job Description
Your primary task is to help achieve experimentation goals and validate test hypotheses by creating or modifying layout designs. These test hypotheses are created by the team. This process requires not just an understanding of UX principles and an ability to match existing styles and guidelines, but also the initiative to question, explore, and provide reasoning for your design decisions. You'll be a key player in ensuring our designs aren't just visually appealing, but also highly usable and effective in driving conversion.
Main activities
- Design A/B tests based on briefs created by Speero experimentation strategists, actively contributing to the hypothesis generation and problem framing.
- Use client's Design Systems and/or other requirements to create experiences that seamlessly integrate into the client's live site, while also identifying opportunities for improvement and challenging assumptions where usability can be enhanced.
- Use Figma to create variations of layouts, clickable prototypes, and presentations, leveraging its capabilities to clearly communicate design rationale and potential user impact.
- Provide expert opinion, take part in ideation sessions, heuristic audits, and client calls, acting as a proactive advocate for the user and the usability of our solutions.
- Create visualizations, infographics, and marketing materials for Speero, ensuring clarity and impact.
- Actively strive for improvement: proactively seek, give, and incorporate feedback to elevate design quality and foster a culture of continuous learning.
- Take part in an open and collaborative work culture where others feel safe to raise constructive criticism or issues, contributing to a safe environment for candid feedback and ideation.
Key Responsibilities
- Creating high-end UI layouts and clickable prototypes in Figma, with a clear focus on the usability implications of each design choice.
- Following client design requirements, while also identifying and communicating potential usability issues or areas for enhancement.
- Using design systems, navigating Figma teams, access, workspaces, etc., and contributing to the evolution of internal design best practices.
- Coming up with creative, visually appealing designs and new ideas, always with the end-user and test hypothesis in mind.
- Understanding briefs, understanding and applying constructive feedback, and demonstrating agency in refining designs based on insights.
- Using project management software to communicate and hand over tasks, taking ownership of the design process from concept to implementation.
- Communicating design decisions in a clear and confident manner, articulating the 'why' and expected impact of your solutions.
- Sometimes – not often – communicate with the client's team members, representing Speero's design expertise and collaborative spirit.
- Keeping deadlines, managing your own work effectively to meet project goals.
- Helping Speero team members with your field expertise, proactively sharing knowledge and contributing to the team's growth.
Qualifications
- Fluency in English.
- 4+ years of professional UI design work, demonstrating a strong portfolio of impactful user interfaces.
- Solid experience with Figma.
- Experience with interaction design, and a deep understanding of how users interact with digital products.
- Experience in graphic design and illustration.
- Understanding of usability and accessibility principles, information architecture, responsive design and persuasive design.
- Experience working in close collaboration with front-end developers and an understanding of web development processes.
- UX/UI certifications or training;
- A fearless attitude to just jump in and get things done, but you also know when to ask for help, and when to stop and ask questions. You generate new ideas and thrive on collaboration, learning, and detailed feedback.
Good to have
- Profound understanding of usability and accessibility principles, information architecture, responsive design, and persuasive design, with a track record of applying these in real-world scenarios.
- Experience at a digital performance marketing or eCom agency.
