Back End Software Engineer (NodeJS/Typescript)

We are working on behalf of a fast-scaling payments solutions business that is rapidly expanding its engineering capabilities and currently looking to bring on board experienced Senior Software Engineers. What You’ll Be Doing

• Backend Development: Design, build, and deploy scalable and maintainable backend systems within a cloud-native environment (AWS).
• Cross-Team Collaboration: Partner with product, design, and engineering peers to shape solutions from conception to release.
• Reliability and Monitoring: Implement observability tooling (alerts, logging, metrics), and take part in post-incident investigations to strengthen system resilience.
• Continuous Improvement: Keep current with emerging tools and industry trends to inform best practices and maintain a future-ready tech stack.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience in backend software development, with a strong history of delivering production-quality systems.

Technical Skills we are looking for:

• Deep knowledge of scalable architecture and design patterns.
• Strong expertise in Node.js and TypeScript, including experience with NestJS, serverless frameworks, and AWS Lambda.
• Experience with event-driven and microservice-based architectures.
• Problem Solving: Excellent troubleshooting, debugging, and analytical skills.
• Data Handling: Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or AWS Aurora. Familiarity with ORM tools like TypeORM or Prisma is a plus.

It will be great if you have:

• Exposure to the payments or credit card space, and/or AWS certifications.
