R&D Bike Shop Technician

In this position you will be a key part of our R&D technician team working with Engineers, Designers, Product Managers, test labs and factories. You will be responsible for compatibility testing, assembly of prototypes, and giving feedback to the development teams, as well as many other aspects that support our companies R&D teams.

HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE

• Assemble new R&D bikes & components to diagnose problems and potential issues from a mechanics viewpoint to help develop innovative products that inspire cyclists.
• Collaborate with designers, product managers, developers, and engineers to help produce industry leading products.
• Brainstorm new concepts and ideas for our products & work to gain insight for the needs of riders.
• Work with our testing and demo teams to get feedback on current and future products.
• Check component compatibility and function on prototype bike designs and provide feedback to product and engineering teams.

WHAT YOU NEED TO WIN

• 5+ years experience as a bicycle mechanic
• Extensive experience with carbon fiber bikes and suspension, as well as wheel building
• Ability to make decisions and recommendations regarding function, fit, and finish of manufactured parts
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment & complete tasks within product creation timelines
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with in-house staff, vendors, and foreign contacts
• Requires Microsoft suite skills, experience with Atlassian products preferred
