LLM Research / Data Scientist | 8M–15M | Tokyo Hybrid | Bilingual Team

I'm hiring for a Data Scientist at a publicly listed Japanese AI technology company, offering an international team, a bilingual English/Japanese working environment, and flexible working arrangements.

This is an opportunity to work on developing LLMs themselves, not just building applications using existing models, with a strong focus on bringing AI research into real-world production.

What You'll Work On:

• LLM/VLM development, training, fine-tuning, and reinforcement learning
• Model architecture research and inference optimization
• LLM evaluation, benchmarking, and performance improvement
• Distributed training, scalable ML pipelines, and LLMOps
• Deploying models into enterprise production environments

What We're Looking For:

• Hands-on experience in LLM training and development
• Strong background in machine learning research
• Passion for cutting-edge LLM research
• Experience with Megatron-LM, NeMo, or distributed training is a plus
• Business level Japanese
