Spatial Front provides IT solutions to federal, state, and local governments, and the private sector. We are looking for a UX Design to join our team on a long-term contract for USDA FAS. This is a remote full-time position.
This project includes IT application maintenance, enhancement, and modernization efforts whereby you’ll be responsible for development of user facing software development projects.
- Develop and evolve external and internal user-facing features.
- Integrate user-facing components with back-end services with emphasis on reliability and security.
- Designing, developing, implementing, and releasing high quality custom software solutions using Scrum.
- Applying the very best technical agile patterns and practices when building custom software solutions.
- Maintaining continuous, open, consistent professional communication with customers, peers, and team members. Openly listen to others and confirm understanding to ensure everyone is on the same page.
- Working on project teams consisting of both customers and other team members.
- Working closely with team members on quality-related activities.
- Must exhibit capabilities in achieving objectives and solving problems in creative, resourceful, and innovative ways.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or related field, or significant equivalent experience.
- Working knowledge of object-oriented design, patterns, and practices.
- An understanding of software development lifecycle practices, including unit testing and continuous integration.
- Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3.
- Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks.
- Understanding of APIs compliant to REST standards
- Familiarity with object serialization to one of the following: XML and JSON.
- Solid grasp of relational database concepts and best practices.
- Professionalism to include written and oral communication and the ability to communicate collaboratively. An ability to understand your audience and adjust your communication style appropriately.
Nice to have:
- Experience with Angular 14 or higher
- Experience with Microsoft .NET Framework, .NET Core, or .NET 6
- Experience with Microsoft ASP.NET WebForms or ASP.NET MVC
- Experience with T-SQL for Microsoft SQL Server
Additional Information:
- In order to meet the clearance requirements for this opportunity, candidates must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder
- Ability to pass a US Public Trust background investigation for access to the client site and computing systems. You must have lived in the US for the past three (3) years.
- Public Trust background investigations can take approximately four to eight weeks and requires fingerprinting

- The salary range for this position is $50,000 - $80,000.
