Position Summary

We are seeking a Digital Multimedia Designer to create digital and print content supporting both internal branding and external client documentation. This is a remote, full-time W-2 role starting with a one-month probationary period. The probationary period allows both the employee and Spark Thought to assess fit, with the intention to continue as a full-time permanent employee if successful.

The designer will contribute to visual design efforts for technical documentation, client deliverables, and marketing collateral. The role requires strong illustration skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a fully remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

Create technical illustrations and visual content for manuals, guides, and safety documentation
Translate engineering drawings and sketches into high-quality graphics
Design marketing materials aligned with internal and external brand guidelines
Develop and edit multimedia assets such as videos, animations, and voice-over content
Collaborate with technical writers, subject matter experts, and project teams
Facilitate virtual sessions with SMEs to gather and refine technical visuals
Ensure all visual assets meet formatting, accessibility, and brand standards
Revise and update graphics based on client feedback and project changes
Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a remote-first environment

Required Qualifications

At least 3 years of experience in digital multimedia design or technical illustration
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
Experience in creating both static and animated digital/print graphics
Ability to produce technical visuals for complex systems or industries (Oil & Gas preferred)
Familiarity with video editing, animations, and voice-over production
Understanding of brand identity principles including typography, layout, and color theory
Strong collaboration skills and ability to conduct design sessions with SMEs
Fluent in English, both written and verbal
Strong organizational and time management skills
Availability to work up to 40 hours/week during standard business hours
Must reside in and be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship

Preferred Skills

Experience with web design tools like Figma, Sketch, or Canva
Familiarity with Wix or similar platforms for marketing design
Experience using Microsoft 365 tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
Knowledge of HTML/CSS and ability to collaborate with developers
