Digital Marketing Director Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Digital Marketing Director to lead the strategy, development, and execution of B2B digital marketing efforts for a market research company. This role is ideal for a data-driven marketing leader who thrives in both strategic planning and hands-on campaign execution. It will be a fully remote contract role.
As the Digital Marketing Director, you will be responsible for creating and implementing integrated multi-channel digital marketing strategies that drive pipeline growth, brand visibility, and customer engagement. You will manage all aspects of digital marketing—including SEO, HubSpot automation, content strategy, paid campaigns, and analytics—with a strong focus on B2B lead generation and customer acquisition.
As mentioned, this is a fully remote position, but you must currently reside in MD, VA, DC, MA, OH, MO, TN, IN, TX, FL, NC, AL, GA or OK. Applicants residing in other states will not be considered.
Digital Marketing Director Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive B2B digital marketing strategy aligned with business goals, target personas, and customer journey stages.
- Lead the planning, launch, and optimization of multi-channel campaigns (email, social, paid media, SEO, content, etc.) across the entire funnel.
- Own and manage HubSpot for marketing automation, lead nurturing, segmentation, reporting, and campaign execution.
- Optimize website content and structure to improve SEO performance, increase organic traffic, and boost search visibility.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, product marketing, and content teams to ensure cohesive messaging and campaign alignment.
- Analyze campaign performance metrics and KPIs to inform optimization decisions and report outcomes to senior leadership.
- Oversee the content strategy and editorial calendar, ensuring the production of high-impact content tailored to B2B audiences.
- Stay ahead of digital marketing trends and best practices, identifying opportunities to improve performance and efficiency.
- Manage external vendors, freelancers, or agencies as needed.
Digital Marketing Director Qualifications:
- 6–10+ years of B2B digital marketing experience with a track record of creating and executing successful demand generation strategies with a focus on digital campaigns and account-based marketing (ABM).
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth B2B SaaS or technology environment preferred.
- Proven ability to both think strategically and execute tactically—comfortable building the plan and rolling up your sleeves to get it done.
- Ability to analyze marketing performance, field questions about overall strategy, and keep leadership informed of the marketing team’s progress.
- Ability to develop clear goals for marketing team members that prioritize high-impact initiatives.
- Deep experience managing and optimizing digital campaigns across multiple channels including email, paid search, display, SEO, and social media.
- Expertise in HubSpot for campaign creation, lead scoring, workflow automation, and reporting required. HubSpot certification is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of SEO best practices and experience managing SEO strategies, tools (SEMrush, Ahrefs, etc.) and reporting is required.
- Demonstrated experience developing content strategies that support lead generation and nurture campaigns.
- Analytical mindset with strong proficiency in digital marketing analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, HubSpot reporting, etc.).
- Excellent project management, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Strong communication and relationship-building abilities, with the ability to seek input and build consensus from multiple teams.
