Product company SpaceWhale is looking for a General QA Engineer (TypeScript) to join our team.
Requirements:
• 5+ years of experience in automation testing of web applications and backend services;
• Experience in analyzing requirements and writing test documentation (test cases, checklists);
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript, Selenium (Selenoid);
• Solid experience with API testing, Mocha;
• Experience with performance testing tools such as k6;
• Hands-on experience with monitoring and visualization tools like Grafana;
• Strong understanding of CI/CD processes and tools like Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI/CD;
• Familiarity with test management tools (e.g., TestRail, Zephyr) and bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps);
• Strong leadership qualities and ability to take ownership of QA processes and team activities;
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills;
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile development environment.
As a plus:
• Experience with payment processing;
• Experience working with WebSockets and real-time data exchange systems;
Responsibilities:
• Analyze requirements and specifications;
• Write test documentation (test cases, checklists);
• Perform manual testing of functionality;
• Design and implement robust automated functional and performance test frameworks to ensure high-quality releases;
• Develop, maintain, and execute automated tests for the web application and backend microservices;
• Execute performance testing when required;
• Collaborate with developers, product owner, and other QA engineers to ensure high test coverage and efficient test strategies;
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and track them to resolution;
• Enhance CI/CD pipelines with automated testing integration;
• Ensure security, reliability, and performance compliance of the web application and backend services;
• Lead QA processes and activities, taking personal responsibility for test strategies and quality assurance;
• Mentor team members and drive best practices in test automation;
• Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging test automation tools and techniques.
