OVERVIEW

Soul Atlas Universe is a growing creative studio producing original films, games, and comics set in our own fantasy world. We are seeking a highly organized, technically minded Technical Project Manager, Marketing Operations (Backend & Infrastructure)

ABOUT THE COMPANY

We are creating films, games, and comics for our fantasy universe (think Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, etc., but smaller). We started 4+ years ago as a small team who were initially supposed to package a TV show.

Finding ourselves unwilling to sign away our IP, we decided to build out the universe ourselves to retain creative control. Now, our team has grown to over 150 members across multiple creative and operational verticals.

Our current slate includes short films, a comic book series, and two games (a card game and a TTRPG). We also produce music, art, and have our own in-house media marketing element and operations.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Run a team of cross functional specialists: Email Marketers (2x), Webdesigners (2x), Copywriters (2x), Data Engineer (1x) and occasional cross functional creators from other departments like our art department. Check on their progress weekly, assign new tasks & help them achieve their projects.
• Take ownership of the lower funnel: From the moment someone arrives on your website to the point of sale, you are responsible for everything web, mail, data and kickstarter campaign set up.
• This means: Make sure landing pages are being built & convert, integration between website and email program is installed, automations and email sequences are prepared, kickstarter copy is written in advance & campaigns are set up and all data is tracked from top to bottom of the funnel.

YOUR BACKGROUND

• Familiarity with the majority of tools from/similar to our techstack: Wordpress (Website base), Thrive Architect/Themes (Front End Editor) & Thrive Leads (Lead Gen/Email integration), All-Inkl (Server provider), Active Campaign (Email Suite), Kickstarter (optional, easy to pick up), Looker Studio & Side Kit (Datatracking Socials & Website) and Hyros (Funnel Data tracking).
• Excellent team leadership: Your people always know what’s next. They know they can come to you with any issues or questions. If there is uncertainty, you clear it out quickly so things can move ahead. You find ways to make timelines work if things are falling behind.
• Self-Starter: You don’t need anyone to tell you to do something. Once you know & have agreed with the path forward, you run it self-sufficiently.

A PLUS:

• Prior experience in a startup, gaming studio, or fast-growing digital media environment.
• A genuine love for the fantasy genre.

COMPENSATION DETAILS

Time Investment: Part-time. Approximately 10 hours/week (flexible week on week, as we understand you may have other commitments) - you set your own boundaries and communicate your availability.

Salary: At this point, there is no salary for anyone in our team (from the CEO to the producers to the set runner, nobody draws a salary). We instead give parts of the profit away.

Profit Participation: We are currently utilizing a profit share/royalty system that awards everyone who is part of the project a piece of the pie. Upon request for an interview, we will send you a detailed breakdown so you can make a decision on whether or not you want to continue with the application. This is fundamentally an investment contract (time invested, profit participation/royalties gained).
