Senior Software Engineer, Systematics (Remote Eligible – U.S. Based)

💰 Salary Range: $144,200 – $164,600 (Remote)

About the Role

We’re seeking a Senior Software Engineer with strong expertise in mainframe systems and FIS/Systematics applications to help lead mission-critical development work in a high-impact environment. You’ll work within a team of systematics engineers to design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and efficient applications supporting essential banking services.

This fully remote role is ideal for someone who thrives on tackling large-scale application challenges and enjoys guiding teams through complex technical landscapes.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and support engineers responsible for the design, development, integration, testing, and support of reliable software solutions.
• Build scalable and reusable systems aligned with business needs.
• Work extensively with Systematics applications (GN/IM/RM/MA) using Agile methodologies.
• Apply strong systems analysis skills to define specifications and develop solutions.
• Participate in large-scale application integration and transformation projects.
• Advocate for best practices around performance, scalability, maintainability, and flexibility.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• At least 3 years of professional software engineering experience (excluding internships).

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in a related field.
• Hands-on experience with COBOL, JCL, VSAM on IBM mainframes.
• Familiarity with ad hoc reporting tools such as Easytrieve or DYL.
• Experience with mainframe utilities like SORT, IDCAMS.
• At least 3 years of experience developing both batch and CICS programs.
• Proficiency in working with database management systems, SQL, or automated testing tools.

Remote Salary Range

💰 $144,200 – $164,600 annually

(Salary is based on market data and experience, and applies to fully remote employees working from any U.S. location.)
